Sir Michael Gambon’s career spans such a wide variety of roles, including “Professor Albus Dumbledore” in the Harry Potter movies, “Henry Tyson” in Fortitude, “Philip Marlow” in the acclaimed The Singing Detective, “Thomas Holbrook” in Cranford, “Sardick” in the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas Special ‘A Christmas Carol’ and soon to be seen as “Godfrey” in the 2016 film Dad’s Army. Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (Calgary Expo) announced today Alan Tudyk, the break-out fan favourite from the cult TV hit Firefly and film follow-up Serenity will be making an appearance at Calgary Expo 2016 – April 28-May 1. Tudyk has never appeared at an Expo (Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon). Earlier this year, Tudyk launched one of the fastest and most successful fan crowdfund projects in history – his web series ‘Con Man’ (in partnership with Firefly cast-mate Nathan Fillion, and PJ Haarsma) – in 24 hours, the campaign raised over $1 million, setting a one-day record for a crowdfunded web series and launching Tudyk into the nerd hero stratosphere.
