Brent Spiner portrayed the pale skinned android Lieutenant Commander Data, one of the most popular characters in the Star Trek universe. He appeared in all 7 seasons of Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek: Enterprise, as well as 4 Star Trek feature films. Brent has appeared in films such as Independence Day, Superhero Movie, and the Aviator. He's also made many guest appearances in television shows like Night Court, Twilight Zone, Cheers, Friends, Threshold, and Frazier. He's provided his voice talents for the South Park Movie (as Conan O'Brien), Gargoyles(as Puck), and of course a variety of Star Trek video games.
Brent Spiner was already an accomplished stage actor before he was tapped to play the role of the android Lieutenant Commander Data in Star Trek: The Next Generation and its follow-up motion pictures.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Spiner moved to New York after college, where he performed in numerous off-Broadway plays, eventually winning roles in the Broadway musical productions of "Sunday in the Park with George," "The Three Musketeers" and "Big River."

His television and movie appearances have been extensive, including the series Cheers, Twilight Zone, Night Court and Hill Street Blues as well as the films Phenomenon, Independence Day, Out to Sea and The Aviator. During the fourth season of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Spiner co-produced and released his first album "Ol' Yellow Eyes is Back," one song of which features his TNG co-stars Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton and Michael Dorn.
Spiner has also returned to his routes as a Broadway actor, staring as the lead role John Adams in the musical 1776. The production was met with much critical acclaim and has been nominated for a Tony Award, Brent himself nominated for a Drama Desk award as Best Actor in a Musical.
Although most well known for his role in Star Trek, Brent has also enjoyed a career in theatre and as a musician.
