Bill Sienkiewicz, born Boleslav Felix Robert Sienkiewicz, is a multi award winning American artist best known for his comic book work, primarily for The New Mutants and Elektra: Assassin. Sienkiewicz is a classically-trained painter, who incorporates abstract and expressionist influences and uses any combination of oil painting, acrylics, watercolor, mixed-media, collage and mimeograph. It was this variety of mediums which was how Sienkiewicz helped innovate comic books.
 
Sienkiewicz attended the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts and he broke into the comics business at the age of 19. His earlier work included Moon Night and The Fantastic Four. After four years he started a long run on The New Mutants. Sienkiewicz then produced covers for a range of Marvel titles, including Rom, Dazzler, The Mighty Thor, Return of the Jedi and The Transformers, and drew the comic adaptation of Dune. Later work included the miniseries Elektra: Assassin written by Frank Miller, the first six issues of DC Comics The Shadow series with writer Andrew Helfer, and both the Brought to Light graphic novel and the first two issues of the uncompleted series Big Numbers with writer Alan Moore. Other comic work includes the Classics Illustrated adaptation of the novel Moby-Dick and 30 Days of Night: Beyond Barrow. He also continues to be a prolific cover artist.

Outside of comics Sienkiewicz illustrated Voodoo Child: The Illustrated Legend of Jimi Hendrix, Santa, My Life & Times, artwork for the Bruce Cockburn album The Charity of Night, and album covers for RZA's Bobby Digital in Stereo , EPMD's Business as Usual and Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Sienkiewicz also painted the art for the Friendly Dictators card set published by Eclipse Comics and designed the layout and art for The Venture Bros. season one DVD set and the season three DVD and Blu-ray set. Sienkiewicz created movie promotional art for The Dark Knight, The Grinch, Unforgiven and the video game Resident Evil. He also did character design for the upcoming DreamWorks' film Alcatraz Versus The Evil Librarians Sienkiewicz is conceptualizing characters for the Western The Man With No Name, which he will executive produce with Braxton Pope. He will also jointly produce, write and direct the film of his Stray Toasters with Jeff Renfroe.

Sienkiewicz’s work has won multiple awards including an Eisner Award, a Kirby Award, several Eagle Awards and The Yellow Kid Award.
