Steve Rolston
Born in Vancouver, artist Steve Rolston got his creative start as a storyboard artist at a.k.a. CARTOON working on Ed, Edd ‘n Eddy. But after working on various cartoon shows, Steve had the creative bug for comics. In 2000, he got his first professional gig illustrating Greg Rucka’s Queen & Country for Oni Press. In 2002, Steve won the Will Eisner Award for Best New Series, and garned two other nominations. He was also nominated for the Russ Manning award for Most Promising Newcomer.
Steve took a short break from comics in 2005 to do a four month stint at Electronic Arts Canada, where he did storyboards, prop designs, and other assorted art chores on the video game Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects.
Since then he’s worked on The Escapists, Tales of the TMNT, and the Degrassi: Extra Credit graphic novel. He’s currently working on a new graphic novel written by Mariko Tamaki called Emiko Superstar. It will be published by DC Comics’ new Minx imprint.
