Mark Waid
Currently the Editor in Chief of BOOM! Studios, a young company who does their best to avoid the superhero genre, there isn't much the near 30 year veteran scribe doesn't know about superheroes. Waid regulary trounces all comers at various trivia contests across North America, his love and depth of knowledge the medium makes him practically undefeatable!
He's also written some pretty cool comics in his day too! After starting as an Editor on books like Legion of Super-Heroes, he began writing on books like The Comet and Legend of Shield before beginning an 8-year run on The Flash. It was during this time that he created the character Impulse, the “3rd” generation speedster. Waid then went to Marvel Comics where he wrote an acclaimed run on Captain America before coming back to the DC for the groundbreaking Kingdom Come with Alex Ross.
On top of all this, he has runs on JLA, Fantastic Four, Impulse, the current Legion of Super-heroes and most recently The Brave and the Bold with George Perez..
