M. Alice Legrow
M. Alice is a freelance artist and the creator of TOKYOPOP's successful new graphic novel series, Bizenghast. After receiving her BFA in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design, M. Alice began her comics career with an exhibit in the Connecticut Historical Museum in 2004, "Heroes, Heartthrobs and Horrors: A History of the Comic Book In Connecticut." She later won a spot in TOKYOPOP's Rising Stars of Manga 2 anthology with her short story Nikolai and was offered a contract with the company. M. Alice has more recently been featured on Teen People's "What's Hot List" in the 2006 HarperCollins book, Mangaka America: Manga By America's Hottest Artists.
Bizenghast currently appears in bookstores in more than a dozen countries and languages and has garnered fans from as far away as Latvia and Hungary. In addition to comics, M. Alice also competes internationally in cosplay competitions and spends much of her free time designing clothing. She was featured in the Cosplayer Spotlight of NewType USA in July of 2005.
