Laurie Breitkreuz 
Born and raised in rural Alberta, Laurie is a local artist and animator best known for her self-published comic book series A MONK'S TALE, an animation-infused martial arts/action series about three young monks who leave their monastery for the first time.
Laurie has lived in Calgary for the last 10 years, and works at Quickdraw Animation Society as an animation instructor. She is currently working on various independent projects including an animated short film as well as an illustrated children's book, both due out this Christmas.
