Amy Reeder Hadley
Amy is the creator of Toykopop's “Fool's Gold” series, the story of an underground movement to save good girls from bad boys. At the '07 San Diego ComicCon, they announced that Amy will also be drawing a new Madame Xanadu series with creator Matt Wagner for Vertigo in '08.
She's always been drawing, but never expected nor planned to have an artistic career. In fact, she had all the plans in the world to teach history or psychology in a high school. This all changed when she started to grow interested in manga and noticed a book at bookstores called Rising Stars of Manga, a compilation of contest-winning manga entries by Americans.
She found that drawing in the computer helped to improve her skills dramatically. Through her experience, she's realized that the old cliché "You can achieve anything if you set your mind to it" actually holds truth!
