Alberto Ruiz
Creator of the Calgary Expo logo, Alberto Ruiz lives in New York where he works as a freelance designer/illustrator and heads his own publishing company: Brandstudio Press, which specializes in illustration and art instruction related books.
He's a fiercely independent and entirely self-taught artist, highly respected by his peers for his commitment to his art and the passion for his craft. A 25 veteran of the business of art, having successfully ventured in the fields of graphic design, illustration and animation, he now focuses his efforts mainly on teaching and publishing, he conducts private seminars on the subject of figure drawing and is a regular contributor to Draw! Magazine, where he writes instructional articles on digital illustration, Alberto has also published several books on the subject of female figure drawing.
